| R. Garland's
childhood dream was to have her stories, illustrations,
and photographs published. In her dreams, she saw herself
smiling as she signed her name at book signings.
Now this dream is a reality.
Ms. Garland desires to communicate to her readers that
everyone is different, and this fact should be considered
a blessing instead of inspiring fear.
Ms. Garland does her very best to convey her stories
with a light, spiritual message. She wants the reader
to use their intuition and mind to create a mental picture
of the characters and their adventures.

The Gift is the first book
in a series called Tanglewood. Her
second book Titled, This Could Be Big,
will be available in 2005.
Ms. Garland lives in sunny Southern California with
her dog Rizzo. She is a member of the Society of Children's
Book Writers and Illustrators. Robin earned a certificate
in Technical and Scientific Writing at San Diego State
University 2004.
